An experience at work

My boss reached the end of her contract this week. Before she left, she did this amazing thing. She distributed little packs of sweets to each of the 23 employees, with a personalised quote. Mine said:

"Le meilleur moyen de prédire le futur, c'est de l'inventer."

There is one guy at work who can only be described as the most Machiavellian being on Earth, and she (and I) suffered quite a lot from this "man". She took it all in her stride. When it was time to share out the sweets, her quote to him was one by Albert Einstein:

"Il existe deux choses infinies: l'univers et la bêtise humaine. Mais l'univers...je n'ai pas de certitude absolue."

I don't think he kissed her goodbye at the end of the day :)
