The most beautiful girl

I actually watched Miss Universe on Wednesday night. Really, from beginning to end! I even had a stake in it. A friend called and we got together, five girls and three guys, and each put down $10 with our predictions for the winner. You can be sure we were rooting for our candidates like crazy by the top 5.

But I lost. Who could have forecast that Miss Plain Australia Jane was going to get it? My theory is that India and Latin America being captive audiences, they were trying to get'em down under in too. She was not beautiful. And to raise plummeting ratings in the US, they forced Miss USA to number 2. Eeew!

What about women's dignity and rights? Well, it seems that whomever fought for those fought so well that today women are free to parade in bikinis on stage for a charitable cause... and a one-year stay in a Trump Towers apartment in New York. Go women's lib.

PS: To smn's question about the difference between Miss U and Miss W, my conclusion was that Miss W is prettier than all of us, and Miss U even beats the Martianettes. Does that make sense?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !

Well, miss Russian contest was held on the internet this year, and was voted by the entire internet population of Russia. The result was this : Miss RussiaWho got her title rejected by the organisers because they found it shamefull for the Mother Land!
